Now accepting orders for mid-summer/fall delivery. Pricing will vary due to market fluctuation. We charge by hanging weight: the weight of the animal after it has been dressed, i.e. after the initial slaughtering and processing. Please call to inquire.
Full and half cow will be cut to your specifications. Quarter cow will be cut to the ‘industry standard’.
full cow
You (and your friends) better be hungry! A full cow usually dresses out over 500lbs hanging weight. In simpler terms, this can easily be split amongst others.
Grab some friends and ‘go in’ on a cow together.
half cow
This means before the cow is butchered, the other half must be accounted for by another family. A half cow is ‘split’ down the spine so you get half of everything including the forequarter and rear quarter.
This will produce around over 250lbs hanging weight. Again, this can easily feed several… for a while.
quarter cow
This means the other 3/4 of the cow must be accounted for by other families. This is the least common as it is the most difficult to organize so we suggest splitting a half or full cow.
This is still a nice amount of meat.
